A Cappellooza, 2018

The A Cappella Choir at Ohio Wesleyan was a prominent group of about 90 singers, chosen from the selective membership process, for many years. The music department’s A Cappella Choir of the past eventually evolved into the Choral Art Society and Chamber Singers. These current choral groups hold concerts twice a year and participate in domestic and international tours. The A Cappella Choir performed twice a year with the Women’s Chorale, Men’s Glee Club, and Orchestra, often showcasing large oratorios for the community. Today, OWU has three a cappella clubs on campus, each of which perform for campus and community events. The OWtsiders, JayWalkers, and Pitch Black groups are each featured during the campus’s A Cappellooza performance, an annual event since 2013.
