Mortar Board
The Mortar Board began as a national college senior women’s honor society in 1918. On our campus, they were often known for serving the university through volunteer opportunities, such as being ushers and hostesses at important OWU events and sponsoring the Homecoming mum sale. The organization has been co-ed since 1975 and has become a well-known society for the opportunities it presents to its outstanding members. Students are tapped in as members to the organization based on their contributions to their university and community through leadership, scholarship, and service. Our very own current president, Rock Jones, was tapped as an honorary member of our university’s chapter in spring of 2019.
